Whether you are working nine to five or working remote jobs, there is pressure to be exceptional, to surpass a milestone, or to bring in massive profits. This pressure can also stem from excessive workloads, or not having control in the decision-making process. It can be overwhelming and cause you to break down. To avoid this, we have put together three ways to deal with pressure at work.

- Establish boundaries. You don’t have to be available 24/7. It’s perfectly normal to say you won’t be accessible for some time, maybe while hanging out with friends. Create clear boundaries between your work and your life. It reduces pressure and stress. Make sure you have a “me” time regularly.
- Secondly, take time to renew your strength. To avoid the pressure and the burning out that comes with it, take your time to recharge your strength before going back to work. It is called “switching off”. Silence every other distraction and focus on getting your stress level reduced. Don’t joke with your time off. Spend it engaging in activities that are not work-related.
- Most importantly, learn how to prioritize. You have four days to finish a project, you have a date with that new girl down the street, prioritize. Choose what you should do first and what should come after. If you start thinking about the situation, you will become overwhelmed. Learn to break tasks into bits.
- Similarly, don’t hesitate to ask for help with you need one. You don’t have to do everything by yourself.
