Popular Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh has lost her life in a fierce battle with mental illness, nearly two years after losing her daughter.
News of the multi-award-winning actress’s death shocked Nigerians after several media outlets published it on their platform. Ada lost her daughter, Aladi Godgift in October 2020 and never got over her demise.
In a viral post, the late actress had opened up about a lawsuit that posed a threat to her life. In the video, she mentioned that she could not deliver on a job due to her mental health issue but her client wasn’t buying the excuse(See video below…)
Ada Ameh who had on June 15 opened up on her battle with mental illness claimed the company was suing her for a staggering amount, which she seemed unable to afford. The 48-year-old admitted the lawsuit took a toll on her but wouldn’t allow it to weigh her down or kill her.
The Benue State-born actress died on Sunday in Warri, Delta State. She was said to be in a gathering where she was a guest to her friend’s elder sister and family before she suddenly slumped and was rushed to the hospital where she died. Earlier in the day, Ada Ameh shared a short video of herself with the family over a meal and captioned it “Happy new week fams ❤️❤️ This trip for my friends elder sister, is just an enjoyment gallow!!! Ada Ameh was well known for her excellent interpretation of scripts and her roles in movies and TV shows such as The Johnsons, My Village People, Domitilla, Phone Swap, and Olutore and had a career spanning over 27 years.
