Olympic Cyclist Found Dead in Las Vegas Apartment After Failing to Show Up at Work

50-year old Olympic cyclist, Muere Daniela Larreal, has been found dead in her Las Vegas apartment after colleagues says she failed to show up for work and alerted the authorities.

The Venezuelan cyclist, Daniela reportedly choked on her own food and Daily Mail reported the Las Vegas Police officers who swung into a search for her found her body inside her flat and have reasons to believe she had died since 11th of August.

Her colleagus contacted the authourities on the 12th of August. Investigations revealed the athlete died from asphyxiation.

The late Olympic cyclist was a phenomenal athlete and one of Venezuela’s most distinguished sports person. She had competed every year at the Olympic games since 1992 in Barcelona up to 2012 in London excluding only the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.

As reported by NeedToKnow, Daniela Larreal was decorated with four diplomas in track cycling and was the Venezuelan cycling lead figure between the years 1990 and 2012.

In 1990 at the Central American Games in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, Larreal won two silver medals. She also won two silvers at the 2003 Pan American Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic coming about a year after she won three golds and a silver at the 2002 Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador, El Salvador.
