Kanye West latest album “Donda” scores 2nd biggest Spotify debut

Kanye West’s latest album “Donda” is already making waves. Kanye dropped the long-awaited album shockingly on Sunday(29th August).

In less than 24 hours since dropping Donda, the 27 tracks album is already breaking records. According to Chart Data, via Twitter, Donda has become Spotify’s 2nd biggest album debut with over 100 million streams in 24 hours. This spot was formerly held by Post Malone. The number one spot is currently held by Drake, with over 132 million streams with the Scorpion album.

One of the songs on Donda, titled jail, seems to be getting the biggest buzz. Jail featuring Jay Z already has 4.3 million streams and is number one on the US Spotify chart. This is the biggest debut of any song this year.

West’s Donda has also debuted number one in 130 countries including the USA. He has broken the record for the highest number one worldwide on the Apple music chart.

The much-anticipated album is everything we expected from the fashion icon and business mogul. The album takes us through his relationship with God and blesses us with a much needed Kanye and Jay Z moment.
