In the presidential election held in Ogun state on February 25, Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerges winner, sweeping more votes than Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi combined.
According to INEC, the country’s independent electoral body, Tinubu received 341 554 votes. Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party received 123,831 votes, putting him in second place; Peter Obi of the Labour Party finished in third with 85,829 votes.

The former governor of Lagos State also clung to victory in Ondo, Oyo and Kwara State.
Prof. Olusola Babatunde, the state’s Collation Officer, announced that in Oyo, a state under the administration of a PDP state Governor Seyi Makinde, Tinubu received 449, 884 votes, far ahead of Peoples Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar’s tally of 182, 977.
Peter Obi of the Labour Party received 99,110 votes, while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian Peoples Party received 4095.
