Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party’s candidate, has won the presidential election conducted in Gombe, Yobe, and Osun States.
While the APC candidate, Bola Tinubu came in second with 146, 977 votes in Gombe, Atiku received a total of 319, 123 votes, according to the Independent National Election Commission, or INEC.

Labour Party’s Peter Obi secured 26, 160 votes while NNPP’s Rabiu Kwankwaso polled 10, 520 votes.
In Yobe and with a total of 198,567 votes, Atiku defeated Bola Tinubu who received 151,459 votes. Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), who received 18,270 votes, finished in third place. 2.406 votes were cast for Peter Obi of the Labour Party.
Ahmad Lawan, the current president of the Senate and a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), hails from Yobe and was elected to represent the state’s northern senatorial district. Nevertheless, he was unable to deliver the state to his party’s presidential candidate.
As expected, the sitting governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke may be praised for delivering his state for his party PDP as Atiku beat Tinubu by a close margin. See the analysis below;
