Breaking: UK Home Office begins removal of illegal immigrants to Rwanda

The Government of the United Kingdom have begun the removal of illegal immigrants to Rwanda after a video of the first set of people detained surfaced online.

Shared via the UK Home Office’s official X handle was a 10-second video of the first set of people being arrested by the police.

The caption of the video says:

BREAKING: The first people set to be removed to Rwanda have been detained.

In a follow-up tweet, the government body shared a text image saying “44 People with no right to be here removed” and wrote:

Today we removed 44 more people with no right to be in the UK on one of our regular returns flights.

This included foreign criminals with combined prison sentences of more than 61 years, for offences including gun and knife crime.
